Freelance iOS Developer (Swift)

GoLexic is a young startup based in Berlin. We are building an iOS app for children with dyslexia and children who experience challenges with reading and writing.

We are looking for a mid- to senior level freelance iOS Developer to build and maintain a native iOS app.

Your role:

  • Build new modules and exercises for our app

  • Implement responsive design for iPad/iPhones 

  • Integrate backend APIs

  • Identify and fix application bugs and bottlenecks

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in Swift-base iOS app development

  • Strong knowledge of iOS Frameworks, web technologies and UI/UX standards

  • Strong knowledge of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines, as well as other web technologies and UI/UX standards

  • Experience with RESTful APIs

  • Experience with Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) is a plus 

  • Experience working with Heroku, Sentry and GitLab is a plus

  • Experience with Apple in-app purchase, cloud message APIs and push notifications

  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and test applications for iOS, across iPad and iOS

  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features

  • Maintain the application and core code

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

  • Create documentation for software created
